david jebbett27 January 2024We had our kitchen fitted by Simply Kitchens in August 2023 and I have purposely waited to review them until we experienced their aftercare. Well I would just like to say to anyone looking for a new kitchen look no further. I will be the first to say that I am not an easy customer when it comes to what I want and the level of service I expect. Rod was more than accommodating in the design process by coming out to our home a number of times ensuring we got exactly what we wanted. Once the installation started, Alex (Rod's son) took over the batten and continued their excellent service, the cabinets and workmanship is second which is to none, Alex ensured the programme was managed smoothly with all 3rd party contractors and that their installation was first class. Even when problems arose there was always a solution and never at additional cost, which is refreshing. As I stated earlier I have held back my review until we received their aftercare. Fear not they came out swiftly and resolved an issue we had and even resolved another issue we didn't realise we had. So thank you Rod and your team, I will be sure to recommend Simply Kitchens to anyone in the market for a new kitchen

Todd Smith9 June 2023I recently had a kitchen with Simply Kitchens and my experience was perfect in every aspect. Originally I had opted to use Wren but after speaking to Rod and Nicki I got the personal touch and pieces of information which you just wont get with Wren. Everything was smooth, on time, no drama and I could ring/visit the shop whenever I had any questions and nothing was to much trouble. I highly recommend using Simply Kitchens!

They took the time to understand our specific needs and provided a tailor-made solution. All the staff are wonderful from Nikki in the office, Rod who did the survey, Alex & Ian the skilled tradesman who fitted our kitchen to a very high standard. All the staff went above & beyond to deal with any issues and did so very quickly, efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. A day before installation we decided that we wanted a different kitchen and wanted to change the units, we didn’t expect this to be possible but Nikki & Rod managed to pull it off. We cant recommend them highly enough.

Nicky was a pleasure on helping us plan and design on our kitchen, and made us feel very welcome. Rod came to finalise the kitchen plans and suggested valuable ideas on utilising the small space the best we could. I really am grateful for his suggestions. Simply kitchens installation team which was done by Alex, Charlie and Curtis who was a pleasure to work with. They were so polite and very respectful of our home. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. Alex had an eye for attention to detail, went above and beyond with helping us out by fitting a new water softener. Alex kept us up to date with insulation process and always took pride in all the jobs he carried out. We could not of asked for better fitters. We originally went to a well known kitchen company and felt that they didn't give us the personal service that I would of wanted. I am so pleased that I went to Simply kitchens a small family run business that gave me a beautiful kitchen and the service was impeccable and I will highly recommend the company to everyone looking for a new kitchen. From the initial visit and discussion we felt confident in the advice we were given; the products on offer and the staff who helped us through the process were constructive and never pushy. Helpful and practical advice on how to improve our old, tired but loved kitchen, without loosing its character. The installation was carried out with a personal approach, and pride in the workmanship. The phrase ‘ there’s no such thing as a problem, only are solutions waiting to be found’ was Alex’s answer to any issues we raised (very few). For us the end product feels transformational and was reasonably priced. We can highly recommend this family run business for kitchen makeovers or total remodelling. Thank you Rod, Alex and Nicki.

Rod came to give a quote and offered valuable advise and had no qualms in keeping our granite worktops when another large company refused to do this. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There’s no definitive answer to this question. So much depends on the size of the kitchen, what materials are used, how much remodelling is needed and a thousand other variables. Each kitchen is unique, as are the wishes of the client as regards the design. If you are considering a kitchen re-fit and have ideas in mind it’s best to call us in for a consult and a no-obligation estimate, so we can give you an informed idea of how much you’ll need to spend to achieve what you want.
A full kitchen renovation with the existing kitchen stripped out and new cabinets and décor installed takes on average four to six weeks. It’s not possible to give a firm time estimate until we know exactly how much work is involved in the re-fit. For example, what electrical fittings and lighting is required; whether alterations and plastering is necessary; if new flooring has to be laid. Once your new kitchen has been designed and planned, we will be able to give you a time schedule for completion.
If your existing appliances like your dishwasher, fridge and cooker are a bit old, shabby and nearing the end of their lifespan it’s a good idea to upgrade them as part of a kitchen refurbishment if you can afford to, particularly if they are built in. We’d recommend going for the latest model appliances with the best “green” credentials to minimise your energy usage. We’ll happily advise on the choice of appliances, and would always suggest you get the best quality appliances you can stretch to within your budget. A good idea is to opt to have matching cover panels installed for built in fridges, freezers and dishwashers to create a unified look for the kitchen.
An “off-the-peg” kitchen may be less expensive, but with a bespoke kitchen you are getting true value for money – and it doesn’t have to cost the earth. A bespoke kitchen can ensure you get a kitchen that matches your lifestyle and taste, maximises the space available (especially for all-important kitchen storage), and fits perfectly even in an awkward shaped room. A customised kitchen with the personal touch can be the real kitchen of your dreams with no limit on realising your vision, not being dependent on stock fittings and fixtures. Best of all is that an excellent new kitchen adds value to your home – up to 10% in most cases.
Yes we do, providing it’s around the same time of installation. We take all the unwanted remains of your old kitchen fittings away and dispose of everything responsibly.
There are different trades required for kitchen fitting, depending on the amount of work to be done. Carpenters and joiners fit the cabinets and worktops, then there is usually a requirement for a gas safe registered plumber and electrician, and if reconfiguration is required we might even call in a builder for construction work. If you are having a full kitchen refurbishment there’ll be plastering, tiling, painting and decorating to be done too. We have a team of excellent tried and trusted qualified trades people to handle all the tasks it takes to finish your new kitchen.
Depending on its size and complexity fitting a new kitchen can take around anywhere from one to three weeks. We’ll be able to give you an accurate time assessment when we have ascertained what your requirements are.
We recommend that you paint the walls once the kitchen has been fitted. this will ensure a clean coat of paint free from marks and smudges
The flooring needs to be laid first but don’t worry, your floors will be protected. Our in-house fitters will insure that the upmost care and precautions are taken during all stages of your kitchen fitting. Having your floor installed prior your kitchen being fitted will also enable you to handle and move any freestanding appliances for maintenance & cleaning.
As kitchen fitters our main task is to measure and assemble kitchen units and fit worktops according to a detailed plan and design. However, as a firm we undertake complete kitchen installations, so we are able to offer all the required services that go in to creating a complete new kitchen. We’ll do as much, or as little, as you want us to.
A joiner is qualified to fit kitchen cabinets, units and worktops, but other elements of a kitchen require the appropriate trades to complete. Our in-house team can handle everything from plumbing, electrics, flooring and gas
